Breaking Through: Priest - The Cross (Official Video)

Greetings Minions of Internet Land!

Robust Enigma here with another new series, "Breaking Through."

In this series, I bring you some of my favorite new music from artists that you may have missed otherwise.

Today's featured song is from Priest, an electronic synthpop group from Stockholm Sweden, signed with Lövely Records. Priest is rumored to share members with the original lineup of Ghost, as a sort of personal project.

The Cross is yet another sinfully dark synthpop/electronic single heavily marked with their uniquely haunting vocals. In the official video, we get a front row seat as a man is seemingly tormented through his dreams, as he struggles to confront his future, based on his past decisions. The lyrics play heavily into this concept as we hear lines such as "Count the wasted years like burnt out cigarettes."

These stylised videos are typical of Priest's unique nature to mix symbolism through anonymity, in a way that breeds chilling mystery.

If you are interested in finding out more about Priest, you can hit up their official fanpage at Facebook.com/PriestOfficial.

Enjoy. >:)

I'll see you all on the other side... --RE
